Scheduled jobs and uptime monitoring for web developers

Hall of Dev brings two chores every web project ends up with into one application: calling an HTTP endpoint on a schedule, and getting warned when a site stops answering. Free for now.

Why Hall of Dev

Running a web project means small chores that must never be forgotten. They usually end up scattered across several services, each with its own account and its own interface.

  • One place for the chores

Scheduling and monitoring share one account, one interface and one way of working, instead of one tool per need.

  • Built for teams

Work in organizations: invite colleagues, give them a role, and share jobs and monitors without sharing a login.

  • Simple on purpose

A job is an address and a schedule. A monitor is an address and an interval. You can be productive in minutes.

What you can do

Two tools today, in the same application. More may follow.

Cronjob

Call any HTTP endpoint on a schedule.

  • Choose the method, headers and body of each request.
  • Schedule with a cron expression or a fixed interval, in the time zone you choose.
  • Enable or disable a job at any time.
  • Browse every execution: HTTP status, duration and an excerpt of the response.

Monitoring

Know when a website or a service stops answering.

  • Check an HTTP(S) address at the interval you choose, with the status codes and keyword you expect.
  • Follow the status, the response time and the uptime over 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days.
  • Incidents are recorded automatically when a monitor goes down and when it recovers.
  • Warn your contacts by email or webhook when a monitor goes down or comes back up.
